question for the bbs with a paid account

Is it worth getting one? I'm considering asking for a paid lj account as a christmas present, but I just want to know if it's awesome enough to spend money on.

(I admit that my initial attraction to the idea was the crazy number of icons I could have. Yessum, I love me some icons :P)

I only use it for the scrapbook feature so I can upload and store lots of pictures without having them censored or reduced in quality. Recently, though, I looked at LJ at work under an old, non-paid account and the number of ads I had to deal with were so annoying I almost died. :/

Yeah, I'm interested in the scrapbook feature too. Had no idea about the ad thing though. I guess I've just trained myself to ignore them lol.

I've had a paid account since 06 and I think it's worth it for the icons, no ads, etc. Well, when I got my paid account there WERE no ads on lj period but now that there are, all I havce to say is thank god for adblock because DAMN.

Oh, and the notes feature is good for remembering people who are stupid on lj
